LIV NELSON

Liv Nelson is a Writer-Director and Producer from Santa Cruz, California. At the age of three her parents introduced her to both Star Wars and Hitchcock, which needless to say, mesmerized and traumatized her all at the same time but was instrumental in sparking her love of film. Her childhood was largely spent outdoors making short films with her friends. In high school, her senior thesis film, “La PANIC,” was selected to premiere at the Santa Cruz Film Festival. That film went on to earn her the top talent scholarship at Santa Fe University of Art and Design, where she graduated within three years. Her time in Santa Fe was largely spent working on the Netflix produced narrative crime-drama, Longmire.

Liv earned a Master's Degree in Film and Television Production from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts in 2017. She has been producing, writing and directing award-winning films that have been screened in Italy, China, and the USA. Liv is interested in using the art of film and television to highlight social issues within the narrative of her work. She likes to write, direct, and produce character driven stories with multi-dimensional diverse characters.

Currently, Liv is developing two series and three feature films.
